Role Overview: CIT Custodian – Witbank Branch
As a CIT Custodian, your primary responsibility will be to manage the secure transportation, loading, balancing, and maintenance of client Automated Teller Machines (ATMs). Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for handling high-value cash transactions daily, ensuring client assets remain safe and protected at all times.
This position involves both operational and technical tasks and requires high levels of accuracy, alertness, and professionalism. The role is physically demanding and requires someone who can handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:

A clear criminal record – a non-negotiable requirement.

Must be PSIRA accredited with a minimum Grade C security certificate.
-
Possession of a Cash In Transit (CIT) certificate.
-
Must have firearm competency, at a minimum, with handgun qualifications for business purposes.

A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the security industry is required (experience at FSG is an added advantage).

Previous experience working with ATMs or as a Custodian is highly advantageous.

Computer literacy is essential.

A valid driver’s license is a strong advantage.

Must be physically fit and able to work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
The CIT Custodian’s daily responsibilities will include the following tasks:

Loading and refilling ATMs across client sites as per assigned schedules.

Securing, handling, and accounting for all cash transactions with strict compliance to protocols.

Conducting accurate balancing and reconciliation of ATM loads.
-
Addressing and resolving any technical faults encountered on ATMs.
-
Ensuring that all assets and cash are safeguarded during transportation and on-site service delivery.

Adhering to internal operating procedures and security protocols at all times.

Performing scanning operations using TransTrack and other internal systems.

Maintaining positive client relations and offering high levels of customer service.

Collaborating with teammates to ensure safe and efficient task execution.

Complying with quality assurance guidelines and company safety policies.
