The Tsebo Facilities Solutions (TFS) division is looking for a skilled Financial Controller for a fixed-term contract based in Cape Town, responsible for accurate supplier documentation, financial reporting, cost reconciliations, and robust administration within the Finance Department.
ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Financial Controller, your core function will be to manage supplier documentation, ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, and maintain compliance with company accounting policies and procedures. This role plays a key part in the efficient financial administration of Tsebo Facilities Solutions, especially regarding pass-through cost management, invoice processing, and month-end reporting.
This is an ideal opportunity for finance professionals with a strong grasp of IFRS standards, corporate finance processes, and financial controls, particularly in fast-paced environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supplier Administration

Manage communication with existing and new suppliers, collecting required documentation

Maintain updated supplier credit application forms and information records

Ensure copies of all documentation are made and safely stored before submission to head office

Methodically file invoices and related correspondence for easy reference and audits
Financial Administration

Verify supplier invoices for compliance with legislative and company standards

Match invoices to purchase orders, delivery notes, and quotations

Confirm correct coding and general ledger allocations in line with bill of quantities

Ensure departmental approval on all invoices and sign-offs from internal auditors

Process and forward invoices to TFS Head Office Finance within the required timeframes

Capture invoices daily into the Onkey system

Reconcile pass-through costs monthly and prepare detailed client summaries

Coordinate journals, financial reports, and commercial documentation for month-end reviews

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation reviews

Maintain and improve financial documentation standards and compliance
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (Advanced), PowerPoint

Experience in Microsoft Dynamics D365, QlikView, and Hyperion

Excellent understanding of IFRS standards and financial compliance

Strong background in corporate finance environments

Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and group accounting/consolidations

Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to lead or collaborate within a high-performance finance team

Strong customer service orientation and a commitment to quality and efficiency

Proven ability to work under pressure with tight reporting deadlines
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum: Grade 12 (NQF Level 3) and a Financial Certificate

Preferred: 2-year Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced corporate finance role

Experience in monthly reporting, journals, and GL reconciliations

Familiarity with Onkey system and commercial finance operations
