At the Goodwood N1 branch in Cape Town, the team is on the lookout for a dependable and enthusiastic Griller to join their kitchen operations. This role is critical to delivering the signature taste that keeps customers coming back.

Role Overview

As a Griller at Pedros, you’ll be the heartbeat of the kitchen, responsible for expertly grilling chicken and preparing other menu items. You will maintain quality, hygiene, and speed to ensure that every dish meets Pedros’ high standards. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare flame-grilled chicken and other menu items to exact specifications

• Ensure that all food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards are met at all times

• Keep the grill and workstations clean and sanitized throughout the shift

• Maintain speed of service without compromising quality

• Communicate effectively with kitchen team members to fulfill orders on time

• Monitor grilling temperatures and food freshness

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cooking, cleaning, and maintenance

• Report any stock shortages or equipment issues to management promptly

• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and stock checking

• Deliver consistently high-quality food to meet customer expectations

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a restaurant or fast-food kitchen environment

• National Senior Certificate (Matric)

• Experience working with grills and understanding of food handling techniques

• Good communication skills in English or another local language

• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, standing for long periods

• Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high standards

• Must have strong hygiene awareness and follow SOPs precisely
