ABOUT THE ROLE

A rewarding leadership opportunity exists for a results-driven Area Manager to oversee operations across 13 retail stores in the West Rand and Pretoria region. This strategic role is ideal for a high-performing Branch Manager ready for the next step, or an experienced Area Manager seeking a new challenge and possible relocation.

You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, leading performance-focused teams, and ensuring the profitable management of all assigned stores. As the key link between regional leadership and store-level operations, your influence will directly impact customer experience, revenue, and team development across Region 3.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, support, and coach store managers and teams across 13 branches

  • Set sales targets and drive revenue growth through operational excellence

  • Analyze store performance and implement strategies for improvement

  • Monitor inventory, visual merchandising, and adherence to company standards

  • Conduct regular store visits to ensure compliance and brand consistency

  • Develop action plans and mentor store teams for capability upliftment

  • Identify training needs and implement skills development plans

  • Maintain high levels of customer service and staff motivation

  • Implement business decisions based on operational data analysis

  • Report directly to the Regional Manager with updates on performance and challenges

  • Collaborate with HR on staffing, performance management, and disciplinary processes

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To succeed in this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in retail management, with at least three years at a senior level (Area Manager or Senior Branch Manager)

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple teams across locations

  • Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills

  • Proven track record of achieving targets and driving sales performance

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret operational data and make sound business decisions

  • Positive attitude, team-oriented, and highly motivated

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the region

  • Only applicants currently performing successfully as a Branch Manager or Area Manager will be considered
