These entry-level to skilled retail positions require a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a strong sense of accountability.
Key Responsibilities

Greet customers using standard greeting protocols and offer proactive assistance
-
Provide accurate product knowledge including location, features, and benefits
-
Ensure shelves are correctly stocked, rotated, and visually appealing
-
Maintain product quality by checking expiry dates and removing expired stock
-
Uphold cold chain integrity where applicable (e.g., dairy, meat, frozen goods)
-
Organise merchandise displays and maintain store hygiene and safety standards
-
Maintain pricing accuracy by checking shelf and product labels
-
Operate retail equipment in line with hygiene and safety standards
-
Address customer complaints professionally, escalating when necessary
-
Promote store products and contribute to an outstanding customer experience

Collaborate with team members to meet daily store targets and performance goals
Qualifications and Experience
-
No formal qualification required; experience in retail or service industry is advantageous
-
Must be proficient in English and able to communicate clearly and confidently
-
Must be able to work shopping mall hours, including weekends and public holidays
-
Energetic, motivated, and capable of working under pressure
-
Must align with Pick n Pay values of honesty, service, and responsibility

Strong teamwork, customer service, and interpersonal skills are essential

Able to work in a structured, protocol-driven environment and follow SOPs
