Role Overview
FlySafair is actively recruiting Warehouse Assistants to join its logistics team at the Head Office in Bonaero Park, Johannesburg. This is a permanent role offering an opportunity to be part of a professional aviation logistics environment. The selected candidates will support warehouse operations under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor and ensure seamless handling, processing, and control of inventory and aircraft spares.
This role is well-suited for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, possess excellent organizational skills, and have a strong sense of attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities

Move inventory and aviation parts between facilities

Accurately process inventory for delivery and documentation

Sort, label, and store items in their designated warehouse locations

Ensure proper packaging and labelling of components

Report any damaged or missing inventory to supervisors

Stack, organize, and store large or bulk items systematically
-
Maintain and update inventory logs and records
-
Conduct regular warehouse cleaning and maintenance tasks
-
Perform inventory control and quality checks for audit compliance
-
Handle delicate or sensitive parts with extreme care to prevent damage
-
Operate tools and equipment in line with safety and standard operating procedures

Comply with all warehouse protocols, including quality service standards

Conduct daily cycle counts and assist in resolving discrepancies with the Inventory Clerk
Minimum Requirements
-
Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent – Essential
-
1–2 years of administrative/warehouse experience in a mid-sized company – Essential
-
Warehouse Training Certification – Advantageous
-
Dangerous Goods Handling and Aircraft Spares Packing Certifications – Advantageous
-
Physically able and willing to work 24-hour shifts and overtime – Essential

Knowledge of warehousing standards and ERP systems – Advantageous

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong multitasking ability and adaptability in fast-paced settings
