Role Overview
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join the team at their Valley Hyper store in Mbombela. The role is a fixed-term contract position designed to help maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the store, including customer areas, stockrooms, dispensary, admin offices, and communal facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain daily hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout the store before and during operational hours

Ensure all assigned areas such as the shop floor, stockroom, canteen, admin office, and restrooms are clean and presentable

Refill and maintain hygiene supplies such as soaps, paper towels, and toilet paper

Respond promptly to any spillages or urgent cleaning needs during store operations

Use cleaning products and equipment safely and appropriately for each specific area

Follow Dis-Chem’s hygiene and safety regulations at all times

Display professionalism and readiness to assist both staff and customers

Set up visible warning signage when cleaning wet surfaces
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric

At least 6 months of prior cleaning experience

Sound understanding of English, both verbal and written

Basic customer service capabilities

Willing and able to work flexible retail hours, including weekends and holidays

Must reside within commuting distance of Valley Hyper, Mbombela
