ROLE OVERVIEW
The Senior Officer: Field Case Management will be based in Durban and is accountable for coordinating rehabilitation and healthcare services for claimants who have sustained injuries from road accidents. This role includes conducting home visits, assessing medical needs, engaging with service providers, coordinating caregiver support, and ensuring the successful reintegration of claimants into their families and communities. The successful candidate will also be tasked with driving compliance with healthcare protocols, stakeholder management, reporting, and invoice verification processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Activate undertaking certificates and compile detailed case management reports

Conduct home visits to assess and explain RAF offerings and care processes

Identify and coordinate necessary medical and caregiver services

Assess claimant needs and recommend suitable home or vehicle modifications

Coordinate caregiver appointments and facilitate timesheet submissions

Ensure rehabilitation follow-ups and monitor medical adherence

Validate and review medical invoices for accuracy and fraud prevention

Ensure service providers are paid timeously and in line with RAF guidelines

Provide comprehensive reports on claimant progress, provider service levels, and rehabilitation outcomes

Engage with external medical stakeholders and community partners to support recovery initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Nursing, Allied Health, or a related field

Registration with the relevant Health Professions Council

A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a medical or managed healthcare environment

Proven experience in case management and patient care coordination

Valid Code 8 driver’s license
