Role Overview

We are seeking a Griller to join our vibrant team at Pedros Kokstad, located in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. This role is perfect for a dependable and hardworking individual with a passion for food preparation, kitchen operations, and teamwork. As a Griller, you will be responsible for preparing flame-grilled chicken and other menu items to the highest quality standards, while ensuring speed and hygiene in line with Pedros’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

This is an ideal entry-level role for those looking to build a career in the restaurant industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen according to Pedros SOPs

• Prepare and grill menu items as per company recipes and service standards

• Adhere strictly to food safety guidelines and health regulations

• Ensure consistent quality and speed of food preparation during service hours

• Monitor grilling equipment and ensure proper handling and maintenance

• Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth order flow

• Assist in inventory rotation and stock management when required

• Deliver exceptional customer service through consistent and high-quality food output

Minimum Requirements

• National Senior Certificate (Matric)

• At least 1 year of experience in a restaurant or fast-food environment

• Understanding of basic kitchen safety and hygiene practices

• Strong attention to detail in food preparation and presentation

• Ability to work well under pressure in a high-speed kitchen environment

• Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
