Role Overview
We are seeking a Griller to join our vibrant team at Pedros Kokstad, located in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. This role is perfect for a dependable and hardworking individual with a passion for food preparation, kitchen operations, and teamwork. As a Griller, you will be responsible for preparing flame-grilled chicken and other menu items to the highest quality standards, while ensuring speed and hygiene in line with Pedros’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
This is an ideal entry-level role for those looking to build a career in the restaurant industry.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen according to Pedros SOPs

Prepare and grill menu items as per company recipes and service standards

Adhere strictly to food safety guidelines and health regulations

Ensure consistent quality and speed of food preparation during service hours

Monitor grilling equipment and ensure proper handling and maintenance

Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth order flow

Assist in inventory rotation and stock management when required

Deliver exceptional customer service through consistent and high-quality food output
Minimum Requirements

National Senior Certificate (Matric)

At least 1 year of experience in a restaurant or fast-food environment

Understanding of basic kitchen safety and hygiene practices

Strong attention to detail in food preparation and presentation

Ability to work well under pressure in a high-speed kitchen environment

Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
