Role Overview

Tsebo is building a talent pool of experienced Quality Assurance Managers to strengthen its Cleaning and Hygiene Solutions team. This role is ideal for professionals with deep knowledge of ISO standards, HACCP, and SANS regulations, combined with strong leadership skills.

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving quality systems across Tsebo’s hygiene and pest control operations. This includes conducting audits, ensuring compliance with legal frameworks, leading corrective actions, and training operational teams. You will also act as a key liaison between Tsebo and its clients, providing regular reporting and ensuring that the company consistently meets contractual and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will oversee all aspects of quality assurance within Tsebo Cleaning and Hygiene Solutions, including:

  • Quality Systems Management

    • Develop, implement, and maintain ISO-based Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

    • Ensure systems align with HACCP, SANS, and other relevant compliance standards.

  • Audit and Compliance

    • Conduct regular internal audits across hygiene and pest control teams.

    • Prepare for and manage external audits conducted by clients, certification bodies, and regulators.

    • Ensure compliance with legal obligations, safety standards, and client contracts.

  • Operational Oversight

    • Monitor service delivery across operational teams.

    • Identify non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive measures.

    • Collaborate with operations managers to ensure smooth resolution of quality-related issues.

  • Training and Development

    • Design and deliver training programmes for operational staff.

    • Promote a culture of quality awareness and accountability.

    • Mentor and coach teams to strengthen knowledge of compliance requirements.

  • Client and Stakeholder Engagement

    • Act as the main point of contact for clients on all quality-related matters.

    • Provide management with regular quality reports, insights, and strategic recommendations.

    • Support business growth by ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality services.

  • Data and Reporting

    • Maintain quality assurance dashboards and performance metrics.

    • Analyse data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

    • Recommend long-term strategic initiatives to enhance quality outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this position, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric qualification.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Food Safety, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality assurance within hygiene, pest control, or food safety sectors.

  • Demonstrated experience with ISO standards, HACCP, and SANS regulations.

  • SAPCA (South African Pest Control Association) knowledge or certification will be an advantage.

  • Proven ability to manage audits, implement QMS systems, and lead compliance initiatives.
