Role Overview
We are hiring a Sales Executive – Used Vehicles at our Ethekwini branch. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to grow their career in the automotive industry while delivering unmatched customer service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving monthly sales targets, expanding the customer base, evaluating vehicles accurately, and ensuring customer satisfaction through every step of the sales process.
This position requires an individual who is goal-oriented, persuasive, knowledgeable in the motor industry, and capable of closing deals effectively.
Key Responsibilities

Meet and exceed monthly used vehicle sales targets

Develop new business opportunities through networking and cold calling

Maintain and grow existing customer relationships

Conduct accurate customer needs analysis and qualifying

Handle vehicle evaluations and trade-ins with precision

Negotiate sales agreements and close deals confidently

Ensure customer satisfaction through clear communication and follow-ups

Stay up to date with industry and market trends, including competitor activity

Maintain knowledge of dealership procedures and compliance regulations

Handle customer escalations professionally and provide timely feedback

Actively contribute to the dealership’s revenue and customer retention goals
Qualifications and Experience

Matric (Grade 12) is essential
-
A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Sales Executive, preferably in used vehicle sales
-
Valid Code 8 Driver’s License

Proven track record of meeting regular monthly sales targets

Computer literate and comfortable with digital systems and CRM tools

Familiarity with Higher Gear dealership system is advantageous
Skills and Personal Attributes

Excellent negotiation and closing skills

Strong understanding of customer behavior, emotions, and sales psychology

Proficient in customer service management

Self-motivated with excellent time management and goal-setting skills

High level of professionalism, presentation, and interpersonal abilities

Familiarity with the KwaZulu-Natal customer market and regional languages is advantageous

Knowledge of automotive branding, product features, and dealership protocols

Ability to generate leads through innovative sales strategies and relationship building

Awareness of economic and financial trends impacting the motor industry
