Role Overview:
DSV is looking for a motivated Sales Representative to join its team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business within the logistics and distribution space, nurturing leads, converting them into long-term clients, and meeting monthly and annual sales targets. Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities in the distribution market.

  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of leads and convert prospects into billing clients.

  • Achieve monthly and annual new business targets for the Port Elizabeth branch.

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and service.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to provide integrated, cross-silo logistics solutions.

  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to stay ahead of industry trends.

  • Provide accurate financial and sales reports to the Regional Sales Manager.

  • Assist in preparing tenders and delivering impactful presentations to potential clients.

  • Maintain up-to-date records in the internal CRM system.

  • Represent the DSV brand professionally in all client interactions.

  • Manage client onboarding and ensure service implementation and communication are seamless.

  • Monitor payment terms and maintain debtor days within company expectations.

  • Mentor junior new business sales team members when required.

  • Meet KPI targets related to client visits, conversions, and sales metrics.

Qualifications and Experience:

Educational Requirements:

  • Matric (Senior Certificate) – Required

Work Experience:

  • 1–2 years of new business sales experience in the transport and logistics sector.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing leads through to closure.

  • Tender management experience is a strong advantage.

  • Familiarity with distribution logistics and supply chain solutions.

  • Experience in selling multi-silo or cross-functional logistics services is beneficial.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Proficient in the full MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • CRM system knowledge and experience in maintaining client data.
