Job Overview
RCL FOODS is looking for a skilled Artisan – General to join our Sugar Division in Malelane. The successful candidate will be responsible for Civil Maintenance, Construction of New Buildings, and Water Reticulation for all clients of CESD.
Minimum Requirements
✔ Education & Qualifications:
- Trade Test Certificate
- Minimum N2 Certificate
- Proof of successful completion of a formal institutionalized training program
✔ Experience:
- 3 – 5 years post-trade practical work experience as an Artisan
- 3 – 5 years of practical experience in Civil and Building Maintenance
- SAP experience (advantageous)
- Supervisory/Managerial experience (advantageous)
✔ Additional Requirements:
- Valid Code 08 driver’s license
- Willingness to work overtime and standby duties
- South African citizenship (mandatory)
Key Responsibilities
🛠 Technical & Maintenance Services:
- Perform civil maintenance, construction, and water reticulation
- Execute basic plumbing tasks
- Ensure efficient technical services for all clients
📆 Work Planning & Scheduling:
- Plan daily work orders in coordination with the foreman
- Prioritize tasks for optimal productivity
🗣 Client Communication & Support:
- Provide feedback to the foreman on work progress
- Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication
📑 Resource & Administration Management:
- Manage labour, tools, and materials efficiently
- Maintain administrative records and ensure labour recovery
⚠ SHEQ & Safety Compliance:
- Participate in SHEQ activities and training
- Take on the role of a safety representative where applicable
