Job Overview

RCL FOODS is looking for a skilled Millwright to join our Foods Division in Tzaneen. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring effective and accurate plant maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain optimal operations.

Minimum Requirements

✔ Education & Qualifications:

• N3 Mechanical/Electrical Engineering + Trade Test
• PLC/VSD Drives experience (mandatory)
• Knowledge of mixers, dividers, proofers, conveyor systems, oven burners, and bakery equipment

✔ Experience:

• 2 – 4 years in production line or FMCG maintenance
• Experience working in a food safety-compliant environment (advantageous)

✔ Skills & Competencies:

• Strong communication skills across all levels
• Ability to prioritize workload systematically
• Report writing & analysis
• Mentoring apprentices
• Must be available for shifts, callouts, and standby duties

Key Responsibilities

🔧 Maintenance & Repairs:

• Perform preventative maintenance to keep machines running smoothly
• Inspect drives, motors, belts, bearings, and replace filters
• Repair and maintain steam and waterline systems, machinery, and equipment
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards

⚙ Technical Operations:

• Assemble, install, and repair machine components
• Clean & lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts
• Record maintenance and repair work performed

• Participate in machine installations and project work
• Complete administrative forms accurately
