The successful candidate will provide top-tier customer service and manage non-technical service activities, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction according to agreed standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Job Purpose:
To serve as the main liaison between service customers and the dealership, managing customer service activities, appointments, and repair orders, while promoting labor and parts sales. The Service Advisor will ensure repairs are completed on time, maintain high levels of customer service excellence, and resolve complaints promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage service work and schedules with customers, ensuring time-efficient service.
- Promote and sell labor and parts to maximize dealership profitability.
- Maintain service appointment lists and customer files, ensuring follow-ups for customer satisfaction.
- Obtain customer approval for work and clarify payment policies.
- Provide customers with accurate estimates and updates if the scope of repairs changes.
- Maintain and monitor work in progress, ensuring repairs are completed according to instructions and on schedule.
- Conduct test drives if required to confirm successful repairs.
- Handle customer complaints promptly, ensuring a positive outcome.
- Present invoices and explain the work performed and parts replaced.
- Communicate customer insights to the Service Manager and report on trends in customer satisfaction and shop performance.
- Liaise with the Sales Department regarding potential customer interest in trading or selling.
- Attend training programs provided by the distributor to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Maintain a professional and tidy appearance when interacting with customers.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Qualification: Matric (Grade 12).
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Service Advisor in the motor industry, with a solid understanding of technical requirements.
- Prior experience with the Kia brand would be an added advantage.
