Job Overview
Pedros is looking for an experienced Debtors / Creditors Clerk to join our Distribution Centre in East London. This high-paying finance role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for accounting to enhance their careers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, assisting with queries, and ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Order Listings: Manage daily sales order listings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Invoice Processing: Process customer and supplier invoices with correct pricing and quantities, maintaining accuracy in all financial records.
  • Accounts on Hold: Prepare and submit DC accounts on the Hold register, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Weekly Documentation: Prepare weekly POD files and prepayment listings for management review.
  • Customer Statements: Run customer statements in accordance with Pedros SOPs, ensuring all statements are accurate and timely.
  • Query Resolution: Assist with customer and supplier queries, providing clear and effective communication to resolve issues promptly.
  • Debtors & Creditors Management: Perform the full range of debtor and creditor functions, maintaining up-to-date and accurate records.
  • Ad-hoc Finance Admin: Support the finance team with various administrative tasks as needed, ensuring smooth operations within the department.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2-3 years in a similar role with hands-on finance experience, including 1-2 years using Sage 200 Evolution.
  • Industry Background: Previous experience in FMCG, Fast Food, or Retail sectors is preferred.
  • Education: Diploma or equivalent qualification in finance is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in the full MS Office Suite with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communicator with strong presentation skills and the ability to interact at all organizational levels.
  • Personal Attributes: Motivated, team-oriented individual who thrives under pressure and has a passion for accounting. Effective time management, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities are essential.
