Position Overview

The Learning and Development Specialist at Pedros is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring training initiatives that enhance employee skills, close capability gaps, and promote continuous learning across the organisation. This role works closely with departmental managers and HR leadership to align learning programs with business objectives and performance outcomes.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and skilled facilitator, capable of delivering innovative learning solutions across multiple platforms, including in-person, online, and blended learning environments.


Key Responsibilities

Training & Development Design

  • Conduct training needs analyses to identify organisational and departmental skill gaps.

  • Design, update, and deliver training programs in various formats to accommodate diverse learning styles.

  • Align learning programs with talent management, performance frameworks, and succession planning initiatives.

  • Facilitate leadership development programs, mentoring, and coaching initiatives.

  • Serve as the appointed Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) for the organisation.

Learning Evaluation & Reporting

  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, performance metrics, and ROI analysis.

  • Prepare reports and insights on learning outcomes and development impact for management.

  • Advise management on best practices and continuous improvement strategies for learning and development.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with departmental managers to identify learning needs and provide tailored solutions.

  • Support employee development initiatives to build a skilled, competent, and high-performing workforce.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and training standards within the restaurant and HR environment.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Education, or related field.

  • ODETDP Diploma and registered as a Skills Development Facilitator (SDF).

  • Facilitator and Assessor Certification (EDTP).

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Learning & Development, preferably in retail, hospitality, or fast-paced environments.

  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and e-learning platforms.

  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and organisational skills.
