Programme Overview

The Hollard Unemployed Learnership 2026 – PWDs is a 12-month programme crafted to develop the professional and personal potential of unemployed South Africans living with disabilities. The learnership combines theoretical education with practical work experience, giving participants the tools they need to build long-term careers in the insurance and financial services industry.

This is more than just a training opportunity — it’s a stepping stone toward meaningful employment, personal growth, and social empowerment.

Minimum Application Criteria

Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a South African citizen aged between 18 and 30 years.

  • Must have completed Matric / Grade 12.

  • Achieved at least 50% in English and one other language.

  • Achieved 40% in Mathematics or 50% in Mathematical Literacy.

  • Must be currently unemployed and not enrolled in any other learnership or study programme.

  • Must not have previously participated in a formal learnership programme within the insurance industry.

  • Must not have been employed in a corporate environment for more than six months.

  • Computer literacy is advantageous.

  • Must provide proof of disability from a registered medical practitioner or recognised institution.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Strong listening and problem-solving abilities.

  • High level of integrity, discipline, and accountability.

  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to a professional work environment.
