We are seeking a dedicated Beauty Therapist to join our Midrand Salon team. This is a unique opportunity for a qualified professional to deliver exceptional client experiences while contributing to the growth of Dis-Chem’s beauty services.
Role Overview
The Beauty Therapist is responsible for performing professional beauty treatments, maintaining high salon standards, and ensuring an excellent customer experience. You will contribute to client satisfaction through expert skincare, body treatments, and product knowledge, while supporting retail objectives within the Dis-Chem Salon.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver a range of professional beauty services, including facials, waxing, massages, manicures, and pedicures, adhering to Dis-Chem standards.

Create awareness of Dis-Chem’s beauty services and products among clients.

Maintain accurate client records and provide feedback on customer queries, complaints, and compliments.

Ensure all equipment is clean, functional, and compliant with hygiene standards.

Monitor and manage salon stock levels to meet operational needs.

Keep up-to-date with new products, treatments, and service techniques.

Promote client loyalty through professional service and personalized care.
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
-
2-year relevant National or International Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy

Minimum 12 months’ practical experience in a professional beauty salon

Computer literacy
-
Sound numerical skills
-
Willingness and ability to work retail hours
Advantageous:

3-year Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy
-
Minimum 3 years’ practical experience in a professional salon
-
Experience with soft laser, bio-magnetic, microdermabrasion, slimming, or spray tan treatments
-
Additional salon equipment training
-
Bilingual ability
Skills and Competencies

Strong knowledge of skin anatomy, physiology, and treatment contraindications

Excellent command of English (written and oral)

Ability to work as part of a team and maintain positive customer relationships

Ability to perform physical tasks such as massages and body treatments safely and effectively
