Role Overview

Adendorff is seeking a dynamic Retail Branch Manager to lead operations at their Edenvale branch. This position is ideal for a confident, proactive, and results-driven individual with strong managerial and sales experience. The Retail Branch Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the branch, ensuring sales targets are met, staff are managed effectively, and operational processes are optimized.

Key Responsibilities

As the Retail Branch Manager at Adendorff Edenvale, your responsibilities will include:

• Sales and Business Growth:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed financial targets.

  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and sales reports to identify opportunities for growth.

  • Ensure the branch maximizes revenue potential across all product lines including tools, spares, and machinery.

• Branch Operations and Management:

  • Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company procedures.

  • Manage budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-effective measures.

  • Supervise inventory management and stock control to maintain optimal product availability.

  • Ensure operational standards, including compliance with health and safety regulations, are consistently met.

• Team Leadership and Staff Development:

  • Recruit, train, and motivate branch staff to achieve high performance and exceptional customer service.

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.

• Customer Service Excellence:

  • Maintain excellent relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and client satisfaction.

• Administrative Responsibilities:

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should have a combination of educational qualifications, industry experience, and management skills:

• Education: Senior Certificate (Matric) required; tertiary qualifications in management, business, or relevant fields are advantageous.

• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in a managerial role within the tools, machinery, automotive, hardware, or engineering retail environment.

• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing profitable branch operations.

• Experience in retail branch procedures, inventory control, and staff supervision.

• Technical knowledge of DIY tools, hardware, and machinery is highly advantageous.
