ABOUT THE ROLE
AFGRI Equipment is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Parts Salesperson to join our Ceres branch in the Western Cape. The successful candidate will handle over-the-counter parts sales, provide outstanding customer service, and perform administrative functions related to parts stock management.
This is a key role in ensuring that customers have timely access to quality parts, while maintaining efficient inventory control, accurate transactions, and compliance with company policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide over-the-counter sales and related administrative functions for agricultural equipment parts.
- Maintain stable stock availability by placing orders in line with branch procedures.
- Conduct regular stock counts and participate in scheduled stocktaking activities.
- Control and rotate stock to manage both old and new inventory effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Identify and resolve customer queries and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Accurately process sales transactions, returns, and payments (cash, card, etc.) according to established procedures.
- Ensure proper cash balancing at the end of each shift.
- Process supplier payments and ensure accounts are settled on time.
- Comply with all risk management and health & safety regulations.
- Keep stock in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Grade 12 is essential.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year sales and administration experience.
- Parts sales experience is essential.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES
- Product knowledge: Tractors and agricultural equipment.
- Computer literacy (MS Office).
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent communication abilities (verbal and written).
- Valid driver’s license.

- Basic selling skills and ability to close sales.
