Role Overview
Fidelity Cash Solutions is currently hiring for the position of Teller based in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal. This entry-level position plays a critical role in the accurate processing and verification of cash. As a Teller, you will be responsible for counting, reconciling, and managing money under strict compliance with security protocols and company procedures. This role is ideal for candidates who possess strong numerical ability, attention to detail, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, especially during night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Count and verify large volumes of cash received from clients.
- Reconcile cash totals with deposit slips and processing documentation.
- Ensure compliance with cash processing procedures and security protocols.
- Operate high-speed cash counting and sorting machines with accuracy.
- Prepare and pack cash for ATMs as per operational requirements.
- Detect discrepancies and report any irregularities immediately.
- Ensure accurate balancing of daily cash transactions.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and security of all financial information.
- Complete administrative duties related to cash reconciliation and client reporting.
- Support other team members and assist in additional duties when necessary.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent senior certificate.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a cashier or similar money-handling role.
- Computer literacy and ability to operate standard office systems.
- A clear criminal record.
- Willingness to work night shifts and overtime as operationally required.
- Must be able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
