ABOUT THE ROLE
LLS is seeking a dedicated and process-driven Warehouse Clerk to join its Centurion-based logistics team. Reporting directly to the Department Manager or Admin Supervisor, this role is pivotal in managing and improving warehouse functions related to receiving, picking, dispatching, and inventory control. The ideal candidate will be passionate about stock accuracy and play a key role in optimizing supply chain processes while fostering a high-performance culture within the warehouse team.
The Warehouse Clerk will support daily operations and collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate stock levels, efficient processes, and exceptional customer service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee and enhance daily stock management practices, including permanent inventory, out-of-stock controls, and cycle counts

Support all departments in improving stock availability and movement efficiency

Implement accurate receiving, picking, dispatch, and inventory processes in line with organizational targets

Assist in defining system settings to maintain optimal stock levels for demand planning and impulsive purchases

Drive a performance-focused culture within the warehouse, promoting continuous improvement and collaboration

Encourage effective communication and information sharing within the warehouse and with related departments

Develop and introduce process efficiencies to support operations and service delivery

Take initiative in personal and team skill development, ensuring up-to-date knowledge of warehouse operations

Act as a team leader in the absence of the Head of Department (HOD), ensuring continued productivity and accountability

Support workforce planning by ensuring adequate staffing for service delivery and operational success

Participate in team initiatives that aim to improve customer service quality and internal processes

Contribute to the training and upskilling of warehouse staff to meet productivity benchmarks and service standards
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

3 to 5 years of proven experience in warehouse operations, stock control, or logistics

Strong understanding of inventory and warehouse systems

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Proven ability to lead by example and act in a supervisory capacity when required

Matric (Grade 12) is essential; a post-matric qualification in logistics, supply chain, or inventory management is an advantage

High level of motivation, responsibility, and accountability in operational tasks

Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically active warehouse environment

Assertive and proactive with a continuous improvement mindset

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to challenge the status quo constructively
