Role Overview
Premier FMCG is currently recruiting a reliable and skilled Handyman Maintenance professional to join the maintenance team at their BRB Durban site. The successful candidate will assist artisans with general and technical support that ensures equipment and plant effectiveness is maintained across the site. This role is ideal for a hands-on, practical individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to work within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance to artisans and maintenance teams as required
Assist with general maintenance duties to ensure optimal plant and equipment operation
Participate in Preventative Plant Maintenance (PPM) tasks to reduce equipment downtime
Ensure the working environment is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations
Maintain housekeeping standards in all maintenance and operational areas
Report any faults, safety risks, or equipment concerns to the relevant supervisor
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing improvements
Uphold company policies, procedures, and health and safety standards at all times
Qualification Requirements
Matric (Grade 12)
Experience Requirements
1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar handyman or maintenance role
Basic understanding of production processes within a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with safe working conditions and practices
General equipment knowledge
Ability to follow maintenance procedures and instructions accurately

Good physical ability and stamina to perform manual tasks
Problem-solving mindset and willingness to engage in continuous improvement
