ROLE OVERVIEW

Voltex is seeking an experienced and driven Internal Sales Representative to join their Rustenburg branch. The successful candidate will play a vital role in growing revenue and meeting customer requirements through efficient internal sales operations. This is a front-line sales role involving direct interaction with walk-in customers, processing sales, providing technical product support, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

The role also includes responsibility for cash sales at the tills when required, stock control, order management, and assisting with stock-taking activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong electrical product knowledge and proven sales experience to join a respected industry leader.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sell electrical and industrial products to walk-in customers over the counter

  • Accurately manage stock movement, issuing daily stock quantities in conjunction with the Procurement Manager

  • Liaise with the dispatch team to ensure timely and accurate deliveries that meet customer expectations

  • Manage COD invoices and actively collect outstanding payments from customers

  • Handle and process orders telephonically in a professional and efficient manner

  • Prepare accurate invoices and quotations using the company’s CRM system

  • Ensure all relevant order information is obtained from customers, including order numbers, delivery addresses, contact details, and any special arrangements

  • Assist in resolving customer queries quickly and effectively to maintain high customer satisfaction levels

  • Ensure that no stock leaves the premises without the correct documentation in place

  • Take initiative in identifying sales opportunities while adhering to company policies and procedures

  • Attend weekly and monthly sales meetings when required by management

  • Participate in stock-taking and inventory control activities as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate is mandatory

  • N6 Certificate in Electrical Engineering is advantageous

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical product sales is essential

  • At least 2 years of Management or Key Accounts experience is preferred

  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical products is essential

  • Valid driver’s licence is advantageous

  • Proficiency in MS Office software is required, with preference given to candidates experienced with the K8 financial system

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • High attention to detail and organisational abilities

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets

  • Proven customer service orientation and ability to build strong client relationships
