Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric – Essential

  • Computer literate (MS Office: Word, Outlook, Excel)

  • Minimum 2 years’ management experience in a retail environment

  • Fluent in English and another relevant official South African language

  • Strong interpersonal and selling skills

  • Logical thinker with sound analytical ability

  • High energy, self-driven, and target-oriented

  • Excellent planning, organising, and time management skills

  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team

  • Strong leadership and organisational abilities

  • Own transport and valid driver’s license would be advantageous

Key Responsibilities

Operational and Financial Management

  • Maximise profitability by meeting and exceeding turnover and budget targets

  • Maintain stock control processes to ensure losses remain below benchmark levels

  • Ensure store administration is aligned with Standard Operating Procedures

  • Implement promotions, visual merchandising, and maintain store standards

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate your store team to achieve targets and deliver excellent customer service

  • Actively participate in succession planning, coaching, and staff development

  • Foster a positive, productive, and values-driven team culture

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Customer Experience and Brand Standards

  • Uphold Tekkie Town brand standards and ensure customer expectations are exceeded

  • Stay updated with the latest stock trends and merchandising processes

  • Take responsibility for the opening and closing of the store

  • Promote and drive the Tekkie Town culture and values within the store environment
