Our client, located in Denver, Colorado, specializes in premier MSP support services tailored to recommend the best hardware and technology strategies for clients’ unique business needs and budgets. They are seeking a Hardware Sales and Procurement Specialist (HSPS) to join their dynamic, fast-paced team and take ownership of the hardware sales and procurement process.

Role Overview: Hardware Sales and Procurement Specialist

The Hardware Sales and Procurement Specialist will manage the full sales cycle for hardware products—from opportunity identification through to purchase and delivery. This includes consulting clients on hardware needs, generating quotes, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining hardware inventories for both the company and its clients.

Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a solid understanding of hardware lifecycles and IT terminology. Previous experience in IT sales or helpdesk support will be beneficial for success in this role.

Working hours are from 4 PM to 1 AM or 5 PM to 2 AM South African time to align with USA business hours. A reliable internet connection (minimum 100MB), a high-spec computer with multiple monitors, and a quiet home workspace are required. Support for backup power solutions will be provided if needed.

Key Responsibilities

Consult with clients to understand specialized computer hardware and technical product requirements
Prepare hardware sales estimates and detailed proposals that meet client needs and budgets
Determine vendor costs, apply mark-ups, and accurately update inventory management systems
Effectively communicate technical information tailored to the client’s level of understanding
Manage and maintain company and client hardware inventories to meet evolving business needs
Generate accurate hardware quotes and proposals using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF tools
Proofread all documentation for accuracy in grammar, spelling, and punctuation before client delivery
Stay current with hardware technologies including CPU processors, memory, storage, USB, network, Wi-Fi, and peripherals
Use inventory and product aging software to recommend hardware refreshes and replacements
Manage multiple priorities and client requests efficiently and professionally

Additional Duties

Participate in company projects, meetings, and initiatives as needed
Adapt to changing business needs and contribute to team success

Desired Experience and Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Customer-service oriented with a problem-solving mindset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Proven time management and scheduling abilities
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Solid understanding of computer hardware, software, and IT concepts
Associates degree or higher is preferred
Previous experience in hardware sales, procurement, or IT support is advantageous

Compensation

Starting salary around R45,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience and skills
