INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As an intern at BUCO Rustenburg, you’ll:

• Gain comprehensive on-the-job training across various retail and operational departments.

• Support the procurement and stock control teams in sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials.

• Assist with sales and customer service functions to understand retail dynamics.

• Learn to manage inventory systems, product data, and store-level buying procedures.

• Contribute to a team-focused environment, learning from experienced professionals.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for this internship opportunity, applicants must:

• Be a South African citizen under the age of 35.

• Possess an N6 qualification in one of the following disciplines:

  • Procurement

  • Buying

  • Stock Control

  • Sales

• Have no previous participation in a W&R SETA internship or similar graduate program.

• Have limited or no experience in the field (entry-level opportunity).

• Be passionate, eager to learn, and committed to the full duration of the 18-month contract.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS ADVANTAGEOUS

While not required, candidates with the following skills will have an edge:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Effective planning and organizational abilities

• Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines

• Proactive self-management and teamwork capabilities
