The Office of the Chief Justice (OCJ) is an independent institution supporting the judicial authority of South Africa. The South African Judicial Education Institute (SAJEI) under the OCJ provides training and administrative support to judicial officers and plays a crucial role in promoting judicial excellence and integrity in the justice system.
Job Overview
The OCJ is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administration Clerk to provide efficient clerical and administrative support to SAJEI in its national office located in Midrand. This is an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates eager to start their career in public service administration.
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Senior Certificate (Matric)

No experience required (Ideal for youth and recent graduates)

A National Diploma (NQF Level 6) with 360 credits in Administration, Public Management, or a related field is an added advantage

A valid driver’s licence is an added advantage
Key Knowledge and Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Computer literacy – proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality

Good document and records management practices

Problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure

Basic knowledge of public sector procedures, relevant legislation, and confidentiality principles
Key Responsibilities

Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, filing, and correspondence tracking

Provide supply chain clerical support, including stock and stationery management

Assist with the distribution, delivery, and tracking of documents and communication

Maintain efficient filing systems for administrative documentation
-
Usher and welcome visitors and provide support during meetings and events
-
Prepare boardrooms and meeting areas and support the SAJEI team with administrative tasks

Follow up on outstanding tasks and provide logistical support as required by management
