Role Overview: Administration Clerk – Admissions (Finance/Income)
The Administration Clerk will manage patient admissions related financial processes, ensuring accurate record-keeping and effective revenue control within the hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct patient assessments in line with means testing during admission.

Update and maintain patient information and ensure availability of patient folders.

Manage cash handling and revenue control including receipts, account issuance, and safekeeping of funds.

Respond to patient enquiries efficiently and professionally.

Manage filing, tracking, compiling, archiving, and destruction of patient folders and related documents.

Utilize Clinicom, HECTIS, or other patient registration systems effectively.

Work shifts, including weekends, public holidays, night shifts, and overtime as required.
Minimum Requirements

Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification with Mathematics or Accountancy as a passed subject or relevant experience.

Proven experience in patient administration and hospital finance systems such as Clinicom or HECTIS.

Ability to work flexible hours and handle shift rotations.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Computer literacy and knowledge of Hospital Fees Memorandum 18.
