Role Overview
G4S Cash Solutions (South Africa) seeks a skilled and dedicated Radio Controller to join their Vanderbijlpark operations. The successful candidate will report directly to the Assistant Branch Manager and will be responsible for ensuring smooth communication between vehicle crews and the control room, scheduling route plans, managing client service confirmations, and handling logistical updates in real-time. This role plays a vital part in ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain effective radio and telephonic communication with vehicle crews at all times.

Accurately record daily vehicle movements, incidents, and exceptions such as blind spots and non-service reports.

Brief road crew members on scheduled details to ensure smooth operations and adherence to safety protocols.

Confirm “no service” reports with clients and ensure accurate service logs.

Liaise with internal departments including the box room and counting house to ensure operational continuity.

Update and maintain the client code book with new and terminated services.

Handle and escalate client complaints promptly and document resolutions for service improvement.

Collaborate with other branches to plan for emergency or unexpected operational adjustments.

Ensure maps, emergency contact lists, and operation-specific resources are current and accessible.

Execute other control room or branch support tasks as required by management.
Qualifications and Experience

Matric Certificate / Grade 12 is essential.

PSIRA Grade A registration is mandatory.

CIT (Cash-In-Transit) Competency Certificate is required.

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in CIT operations is preferable.

Prior Control Room experience is an advantage.

Valid Code 10 driver’s licence with PDP is beneficial.

Clear criminal record and no adverse credit listings (No ITC).
Knowledge and Skills

Excellent communication skills to coordinate with staff and clients.

Understanding of ISO Quality Management standards and compliance.

Strong computer skills – proficiency in MS Office Suite and operational reporting tools.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in rapidly changing environments.

Sound attention to detail and a commitment to service excellence.
