Based at our Virginia Depot in the Free State, we are currently seeking a responsible and safety-focused Fuel Attendant to join our operations team. This role plays a key part in supporting the efficient running of our transport fleet by ensuring buses and company vehicles are refueled, monitored, and maintained for daily operations.
Role Overview
The Fuel Attendant is responsible for refueling all depot-based buses and company vehicles, maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the fuel bay, and assisting management with any operational tasks relating to fueling and depot standards. This is a hands-on, physical role requiring diligence, time awareness, and the ability to work under pressure during shift rotations, including weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities

Refuel company buses and all designated vehicles at the Virginia Depot in accordance with operational schedules.

Ensure that fuel pump equipment is checked regularly and report any irregularities to management.

Monitor fuel usage and keep accurate logs and checklists as required by company policy.

Maintain cleanliness of the fuel bay area at all times, including the removal of spills and general upkeep of the space.

Adhere strictly to company safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE during all fueling tasks.

Follow all policies and procedures laid out in the company’s Code of Conduct.

Work closely with operations and workshop teams to ensure smooth fuel supply operations.

Perform additional depot-related duties as directed by management or supervisory staff.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate is essential.

A valid South African driver’s license (Code 08 or higher) is required.

Must have own transport to and from the Virginia Depot.

Must be in good physical health and able to stand for long periods and handle physical tasks.

Preparedness to work irregular shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Must be willing to work overtime and be on standby at short notice.

Experience in a similar fueling or transport yard environment will be advantageous.
