The company is currently seeking an experienced Shutterhand to join its construction team in Gauteng, contributing to the safe and effective building of reinforced concrete structures.
Role Overview
The Shutterhand will be responsible for erecting and assembling formwork, scaffolding, and concrete structures while strictly following safety protocols and engineering specifications. The role involves physical labor, technical skill, and collaboration with the construction team to ensure high-quality and safe project delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Participate actively in daily risk assessments and comply with safety requirements

Perform pre-shift toolbox talks and report hazards to supervisors
-
Safely erect and inspect scaffolding as per safety standards

Assemble shutters for concrete structures according to engineering drawings
-
Interpret and follow concrete structure blueprints and diagrams
-
Work at heights with the appropriate certifications and fall protection
-
Operate and maintain power tools (e.g., circular saws, grinders, jigsaws) safely

Complete all ad-hoc construction tasks as required and trained for

Follow proper procedures during emergencies, based on training

Ensure correct and consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Qualifications and Experience

Grade 12 (Matric) certificate is required

Must have a Shutter Hand Grade I or II qualification
-
Minimum 4–5 years of hands-on experience working with concrete structures
-
Knowledge of steel fixing and bending schedules is an advantage
