Role Overview
Hollywoodbets is looking for a highly skilled SEO Specialist to join their dynamic digital marketing team based in Bryanston, Johannesburg. In this role, you will take the lead on search engine optimization and marketing strategies that directly influence online visibility and return on investment (ROI). You’ll manage all SEO and SEM activities including keyword research, link building, paid search campaigns, content optimization, analytics, and more.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, implement, and manage SEO/SEM strategies to boost organic rankings and paid performance.

Optimize landing pages and on-page content to improve search visibility and conversion rates.

Conduct regular audits and competitor research to identify gaps, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Manage PPC campaigns on Google, Yahoo, and Bing while analyzing and reporting on their effectiveness.

Monitor campaign performance and stay within monthly budgets while maximizing ROI.

Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion, and optimization for all digital platforms.

Use tools like Google Analytics, SEMRush, and Link Research Tools to track campaign performance.

Collaborate with the development team to ensure technical SEO best practices are implemented.

Support editorial and marketing teams by integrating SEO into content strategies.

Recommend and implement improvements in website architecture, content structure, and backlinks.

Handle Google My Business optimization and updates to enhance local SEO performance.

Stay up to date with the latest SEO/SEM trends, search engine algorithm changes, and best practices.

Support other areas of digital marketing such as email marketing, affiliate marketing, and web development.
Minimum Requirements

2–3 years of proven experience in a similar SEO/SEM role.

Hands-on experience with PPC campaign management across Google, Yahoo, and Bing.

Strong knowledge of performance marketing, customer acquisition, and conversion optimization.

Proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, SEMRush, and bid management platforms.

Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript constraints related to SEO.

Familiarity with A/B testing, multivariate experiments, and reporting tools.

Knowledge of ranking factors, search engine algorithms, and up-to-date industry standards.
Preferred Qualifications

A degree in Marketing, Digital Technologies, or a related field is highly advantageous.
