Role Overview
The Floor Salesperson – Clothing is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, driving sales, and maintaining high standards of visual merchandising and floor hygiene. This role is essential for upholding the Pick n Pay brand and ensuring customers receive professional assistance in the clothing department.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure all merchandise is neatly displayed and adheres to store presentation standards

Conduct quality checks on clothing items and ensure stock is handled correctly

Maintain correct product pricing and ensure displays are up-to-date

Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful, and engaging manner

Deliver outstanding customer care by offering product knowledge and size assistance

Drive sales by promoting current offers and identifying customer needs

Operate tills with accuracy and efficiency during transactions

Adhere to hygiene, housekeeping, and health & safety standards

Assist in meeting daily and monthly sales targets

Ensure backroom and floor stock are organized and replenished regularly

Report any issues or discrepancies to store supervisors
Qualifications and Experience

Matric certificate or a relevant retail qualification

Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a clothing retail environment

Proficient in English, both written and spoken

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Strong attention to detail and organizational ability

Assertive, with the ability to handle busy retail environments

Must be hardworking and willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
