Role Overview
We are currently hiring a Griller to join the vibrant team at Pedros Wonderpark in Pretoria, Gauteng. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for individuals with a passion for preparing quality food and who thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Griller plays a vital role in maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and service speed while ensuring customer satisfaction.
This role is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, dependable, and enjoy working as part of a team that values precision and consistency in food preparation.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen in line with Pedros’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Ensure all food preparation and grilling tasks are carried out according to food safety and hygiene protocols

Grill and prepare menu items, especially flame-grilled chicken, according to Pedros standards while ensuring speed of service

Monitor grill temperatures and cooking times to guarantee consistency and quality

Restock and maintain kitchen stations to ensure smooth operations during service hours

Coordinate with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to meet customer demands efficiently

Deliver exceptional service by maintaining product presentation and food taste consistency

Comply with all health, safety, and food handling guidelines
Minimum Requirements

National Senior Certificate (Matric)

Minimum of 1 year experience in a fast-food or restaurant environment

Familiarity with grilling techniques and restaurant kitchen operations

Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Excellent time management and multitasking ability

Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
