Role Overview
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking General Assistant to join our North Gate branch in Johannesburg. This entry-level retail opportunity is ideal for someone who is energetic, organized, and committed to supporting daily store operations, from receiving stock to merchandising and maintaining cleanliness.
This role is perfect for individuals looking to start or grow their career in the retail industry while being part of a supportive, goal-driven team. Whether it’s assisting customers, unpacking stock, or making sure our shelves look impeccable, your contributions will be valued and recognized.
Key Responsibilities

✔️ Assist with stock receiving and off-loading of deliveries

✔️ Conduct pre-packing of products for easy merchandising

✔️ Arrange and replenish stock on shelves, in fridges, and across the store

✔️ Maintain merchandising standards that support product visibility and customer convenience

✔️ Keep store areas clean and organized according to housekeeping and safety guidelines

✔️ Participate in stock reporting and inventory counting routines

✔️ Work as part of a team to achieve daily targets and operational goals

✔️ Support compliance with health and safety policies at all times
Qualifications and Experience

✅ Grade 12 (Matric) certificate required

✅ Ability to communicate fluently in English—both written and spoken

✅ No prior experience required, but previous retail or warehouse work is advantageous

✅ Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
