🎯 Role Overview
The Financial Wellness Consultant plays a crucial role in contributing to Bayport’s growth and profitability by understanding customer needs and delivering high-quality, solutions-based sales via the call centre. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring a seamless experience from inquiry to product acquisition, and building long-term client relationships.
Your success will depend on your ability to explain product features and benefits clearly, provide accurate financial advice, and convert leads into successful applications—all while complying with financial regulations and upholding Bayport’s core values.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities

Engage with potential and existing clients via inbound and outbound calls

Promote and sell Bayport’s financial products and services to meet monthly targets

Assess client needs and recommend appropriate financial solutions

Explain product terms, interest rates, and benefits clearly to clients

Ensure compliance with relevant legislation including FAIS and the National Credit Act

Accurately process applications, verify documentation, and follow up on pending queries

Build lasting client relationships through quality service and regular communication

Update CRM systems with client interactions and status reports

Work collaboratively within a target-driven call centre team

Stay updated with new product offerings, promotions, and internal policy changes

Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques
📚 Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Education Requirements:

Matric (Grade 12) or NQF Level 4 equivalent qualification
Experience Requirements:
-
At least 2 years’ experience in the financial industry

Minimum 3 to 5 years of sales experience, preferably in a call centre environment
Desired Education and Compliance:

Post-matric qualification in finance, sales, or related fields
-
Regulatory Examination (RE5) and FAIS accreditation highly advantageous
