🎮 Role Overview
The Gaming Floor Manager – Slots will take responsibility for overseeing all operations related to slot machines and guest interaction on the gaming floor. This role requires someone with strong leadership abilities, operational foresight, and an understanding of the dynamics of guest satisfaction in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. Key functions include team management, shift oversight, financial control, and ensuring that gaming product performance aligns with organizational targets.
🧾 Key Responsibilities
🔄 Shift and Floor Management

Manage duty rosters, shift briefings, and operational handovers

Be highly visible and accessible on the gaming floor to address customer needs and concerns

Ensure staff appearance and conduct aligns with company standards

Handle shift reports, cash-ups, and system reconciliation

Monitor gaming anomalies and ensure resolution through proper SOP channels
🎰 Gaming Product Oversight

Analyse slot performance and floor occupancy trends

Assist in defining optimal product mix and placements

Liaise with technical teams on machine maintenance and performance issues

Monitor, record, and report on equipment issues and product irregularities
👥 People Management

Supervise staff conditions including attendance, punctuality, and performance

Identify training needs and provide coaching for growth

Manage payroll costs and department productivity

Recruit, onboard, and build succession plans for team stability

Handle employee relations, performance appraisals, and motivation initiatives
💸 Financial and Stock Control

Manage and authorise complementary spend and promotional budgets

Handle numbered stationery, cards, loyalty materials, and chips according to SOP
-
Ensure shift cash-ups and reconciliations are accurate and compliant
💬 Customer Relationship Management

Ensure high-level customer service and floor engagement

Train staff on loyalty programmes, promotions, and customer interaction

Oversee the capturing of guest data and accuracy of loyalty card processes

Maintain guest satisfaction databases and generate loyalty reports
🤝 Stakeholder & Interdepartmental Collaboration

Liaise with F&B to coordinate floor services and VIP guest needs

Work closely with marketing on promotions, event execution, and post-mortem evaluations

Update internal teams on VIP arrivals, business strategy, and floor performance objectives

Communicate SLAs and standards to service providers and internal teams
🎓 Qualifications and Experience
Education:

Grade 12 (Matric) is essential

Level 4 national qualification in gaming operations preferred

3-Year Degree in Business Management is advantageous

Gaming Management Development Programme highly desirable
Experience:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role in a gaming environment

Sound understanding of casino operations and guest service excellence

Experience with gaming systems, cash-ups, and promotional management
