🙋 Role Overview

The Officer, Customer Liaison (Level 1) position is designed for individuals who enjoy working directly with people and ensuring that every client who visits the branch receives outstanding service. As the first point of contact, you’ll play a critical role in welcoming and directing customers, ensuring their needs are identified and addressed by the appropriate teams.

You will also maintain the highest levels of professionalism and ethical conduct while supporting a seamless client journey within the branch. 🧾 Key Responsibilities

  • 🎯 Customer Reception & Direction

    • Act as the face of the branch, welcoming clients warmly and professionally.

    • Identify customer needs promptly and direct them to the correct department or personnel.

  • 📝 Administration & Record-Keeping

    • Maintain accurate logs of client inquiries and appointments.

    • Monitor queues and manage foot traffic to ensure minimal wait times and efficient service delivery.

  • 🛠 Query Management & Escalation

    • Respond to basic customer queries and refer complex issues to the correct channels.

    • Monitor resolution and follow up when necessary to ensure client satisfaction.

  • 🤝 Customer Relationship Management

    • Build trust and rapport with customers through positive interactions.

    • Demonstrate a deep understanding of bank processes and available services.

🎓 Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum Educational Requirement:

    • NQF Level 5 qualification (or higher)

  • Experience Required:

    • 1–2 years of branch banking and administrative experience

    • Exposure to handling customer queries and basic banking operations

    • Background in a retail or customer-facing role preferred
