π Role Overview
The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all daily production and operational activities, managing raw materials and procurement, ensuring quality control and timely dispatch of customer orders, and leading teams across day and night shifts. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual with the ability to manage multiple moving parts and collaborate across departments to drive efficiency.
This is an on-site position based in Pretoria, offering stable working hours from Monday to Friday, with shorter working hours on Fridays. Candidates must be located in or near Pretoria West and have reliable transport.
π οΈ Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate daily production operations for both day and night shifts.

Procure raw materials and ensure timely availability of supplies for uninterrupted production.

Update and maintain supplier price lists; build and manage long-term relationships with vendors.

Create and manage job cards and detailed production schedules.

Develop new product processes, including documentation and workflow design.

Create Quality Control (QC) documentation for inclusion in customer data books.

Expedite orders to ensure they meet lead times and customer expectations.

Monitor and manage the dispatch of customer orders with a focus on punctuality and accuracy.

Supervise trimming and quality control teams, ensuring alignment with dispatch deadlines.

Provide leadership and support to all production staff, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Submit daily and monthly production reports to the Company Director.

Assist with compiling customer quotations by analysing material and production costs.

Generate purchase orders, process invoices, and support the financial admin team.

Take part in the companyβs environmental management initiatives.

Oversee the management of chemical storerooms, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
π Qualifications and Experience

Grade 12 (Matric) is essential.

Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in operations and production management, preferably in a manufacturing setting.

Strong skills in procurement, inventory control, and supplier relationship management.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Experience with Sage Accounting Software is highly advantageous.

Strong understanding of financial administration, customer service, and office coordination.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Strong leadership abilities, with a focus on mentoring and supporting teams.

Exceptional time management, organisation, and attention to detail.

Ability to work well under pressure and independently in a fast-paced environment.

Must have a valid driverβs license and own vehicle.

Reside in or near Pretoria West is a requirement.
