Role Overview
The Department of Home Affairs is hiring 16 Local Office Managers across different provinces. These are critical operational management roles responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery and efficient administration in regional or local Home Affairs offices. Key Responsibilities
-
Oversee day-to-day operations of the local Home Affairs office.
-
Ensure the effective delivery of services including ID issuance, passports, births, deaths, marriages, and immigration.
-
Manage and support front-line personnel to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
-
Implement national policies and monitor compliance with service delivery standards.
-
Maintain integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data and records.
-
Manage resource planning, including human resources, finances, and facilities at local level.
-
Coordinate local stakeholder engagement and represent the department at community level.
Qualifications and Experience
-
A recognized qualification at NQF Level 6/7 in Public Administration, Management, or a related discipline.

3–5 years’ experience in a public service environment, preferably in front-line operations or office management.

Knowledge of government service delivery protocols, the Batho Pele principles, and relevant legislation.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
