📋 Junior Consultant Sales Role Overview
As a Junior Consultant Sales (FAIS), you will work proactively to identify client needs and deliver financial solutions in alignment with Absa’s regulatory framework and strategic sales targets. This role requires a balance of sales acumen, customer service, and strict adherence to risk and compliance protocols. You will work across teams to improve customer experiences, share best practices, and contribute to branch performance metrics.
🛒 Key Responsibilities
Sales Target Achievement: You will take initiative to contact new and existing customers, delivering targeted financial solutions that drive sales growth. Your focus will be on understanding client needs, building strong relationships, and achieving monthly and quarterly sales goals.
Client Engagement: Deliver exceptional service by understanding and responding to individual customer needs. You will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring customers receive timely, relevant, and accurate information on financial products.
Collaboration & Team Culture: Support a collaborative team environment by sharing knowledge and experiences. Offer constructive feedback and help cultivate an empowering, solutions-driven culture.
Risk & Compliance Adherence: Execute all duties in full compliance with Absa’s regulatory standards, internal control frameworks, and ethical banking practices. Ensure client onboarding, documentation, and transactions are accurate and aligned with FAIS regulations.
Customer Experience Focus: Consistently provide excellent service across all touchpoints. Resolve customer queries efficiently, escalate where necessary, and ensure a seamless experience that reflects Absa’s high service standards.
✅ Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Requirement:
• Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) in Business, Commerce, or Management Studies
Preferred Experience:
• 1+ years in a customer-facing or sales role within a financial services or retail banking environment
• Proven ability to meet sales targets and navigate client relationship management systems
• Sound understanding of FAIS and compliance obligations in a financial institution
Key Skills and Competencies:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
