Role Overview
Safripol Tulisa Park is currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Ultra-heavy Motor Vehicle Driver. The role involves the efficient and safe delivery of goods to various clients, with an emphasis on quality service, compliance, and road safety. The successful candidate will have a solid background in heavy vehicle driving and demonstrate professionalism in customer engagement and logistics.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are roadworthy and fully operational.
Safely transport goods to and from clients across designated routes.
Manage the secure loading and offloading of goods, either directly or by supervising the process.
Follow the National Road Traffic Act and ensure that loads are not overweight.
Accurately complete all trip and delivery documentation.
Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of vehicle, PPE, and uniform at all times.
Follow company SOPs, including safety and quality standards.
Participate in compulsory training and evaluations, including:

Medical and fitness assessment

USCS training modules

Induction processes
-
Practical driving tests
-
Criminal record clearance
Open and close tarpaulins as needed for secure goods transportation.
Maintain professionalism when engaging with clients and colleagues.
Follow instructions from supervisors and adapt to operational needs, including working weekends and public holidays.
Qualifications and Experience
Educational Requirements:
Minimum of Grade 10 literacy level (numerically and verbally literate)
Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) preferred
Driver’s License & Certifications:
Valid Code EC (Code 14) Driver’s License
Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) with DGP
Work Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience driving ultra-heavy vehicles
Familiarity with Superlink/Interlink or other long-haul combinations
Must be at least 25 years of age
Skillset and Knowledge:
Proficient in defensive driving techniques
Knowledge of vehicle components and mechanical awareness
Skilled in operating fire extinguishers and performing emergency reporting
Ability to ensure fuel and route efficiency
Competence in vehicle inspections and load-securing practices
