Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will support the HR team in the following areas:

  • Database Management: Update internal HR databases with new employee information, including contact details and employment forms.

  • Reporting: Assist in preparing HR-related reports as needed by the department.

  • Event Coordination: Participate in organizing company events, career days, and other HR functions.

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Support the recruitment and onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition for all new employees.

  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with various teams to improve and enhance HR operations.

  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance, including maintaining filing systems and updating employee records.

  • BBB-EE Audit: Assist with the annual BBB-EE audit process.

  • Organizational Development: Support the implementation of Organizational Development and Employee Wellness initiatives.

  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Assist the HR Manager and Transformation Executive with various HR-related projects.

  • Employee Queries: Respond to HR-related queries and ensure employees are directed to the right team member for further assistance.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

To be considered for this internship, applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: A minimum of N6, Diploma, or Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Experience: No prior experience required; however, a keen interest in HR practices and processes is essential.

  • Skills:

    • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail.

    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

    • Strong understanding of labor laws, including BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, and BBB-EE.

    • Strong planning and organizing capabilities, with a solution-oriented approach.
