AFGRI is looking for a Hire Purchase Marketer to join our dynamic team in Centurion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the expansion of AFGRI’s debtor book by driving the collection and proposal of credit applications for hire purchases of agricultural equipment. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in agricultural financing and possess a strong background in credit handling, client relationship management, and business development.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing credit applications, and ensuring smooth administrative and customer service processes. Your expertise will play a key role in enhancing business growthand fostering lasting relationships with both new and existing customers in the agricultural sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. New Business Development

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in agricultural equipment financing.

Conduct detailed market research to uncover new clients and business prospects.

Promote and present AFGRI’s hire purchase financing options to potential clients.

Cross-sell additional financial services to expand business relationships.
2. Credit Application Management

Capture, evaluate, and process credit applications in compliance with AFGRI’s policies.

Ensure that all proposals are submitted on time, with the required supporting documentation.

Collaborate with the credit department to arrange security where necessary.

Maintain a high level of accuracy in documenting and processing applications.
3. Client and Account Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their hire purchase accounts.

Address client queries promptly and liaise with internal departments to resolve issues.

Monitor arrears accounts and prepare timely reports.

Ensure full compliance with legislative and policy requirements.
4. Customer Relationship Building

Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.

Attend farmers’ days and study groups to promote AFGRI’s financing options and engage with potential customers.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and drive cross-selling opportunities for additional services.

Help clients better understand AFGRI’s product offerings and ensure they are satisfied with services provided.
Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience
-
BCom or equivalent degree in finance, business, or a related field.

10+ years of experience in agricultural equipment financing, with proven expertise in managing hire purchase agreements and credit applications.

Experience with SAP is a distinct advantage.

Strong financial analysis skills with a proven track record of assessing creditworthiness.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP for handling financial data and creating reports.

Bilingual communication skills, with proficiency in English and Afrikaans.
