Job Description:
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a customer-oriented Cosmetic Consultant for their La Lucia Store. Your role will involve promoting and selling cosmetic and beauty products while ensuring exceptional customer service.
Minimum Requirements:
✔ Grade 12 / Matric
✔ Retail experience as a sales consultant
✔ Computer literate
✔ Willing and able to work retail hours
🔹 Advantageous:
✅ Experience in cosmetics, fragrances, and beauty products
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service & Sales
- Provide outstanding customer service and product knowledge.
- Assist customers by demonstrating beauty and cosmetic products (makeovers, spray promotions, etc.).
- Escalate unresolved customer complaints to the store manager.
2. Stock & Merchandising
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages, damages, or expired stock.
- Ensure merchandising and product displays are neat and visually appealing.
- Manage stock rotation to minimize expired products.
3. Sales & Promotions
- Maximize store sales by achieving department, brand, and vendor sales targets.
- Stay updated on product trends, beauty brands, and industry updates.
- Oversee cosmetic, fragrance, and beauty promotions in-store.
- Manage salon appointments if applicable.
4. Compliance & Policies
- Follow Dis-Chem policies, SOPs, health, and safety regulations.
- Work according to sales targets and commission structures.
Competencies & Skills Required:
✔ Strong command of English (written & verbal)
✔ Team player
✔ Excellent customer service skills
✔ Understanding of stock reports, sales targets, and commission calculations
✔ Ability to follow task schedules effectively
🔹 Advantageous:
✅ Experience in sales, promotions, and customer engagement
✅ Previous promotional training
✅ Stock management skills
✅ Bilingual (English & another language preferred)
