Job Description
Falcon is seeking a Stores Controller responsible for inventory management, administrative tasks, health & safety compliance, and employee supervision.
Responsibilities
Administrative Duties:
- Prepare daily reports and complete paperwork accurately and on time
- Generate internal and purchase order requisitions promptly
- Maintain accurate records of training activities
Stores & Inventory Control:
- Manage stock levels within minimum and maximum limits
- Order components using the Just-in-Time (JIT) system
- Conduct two stock takes annually with minimal variances
- Oversee receiving, dispatching, issuing, and returning of components
- Inspect received items for quality and address non-conformances
- Ensure components are properly packed, labeled, and traceable
- Report low stock levels to management
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure a safe working environment at all times
- Attend safety meetings regularly
- Complete safety checklists and documentation
- Ensure staff consistently use proper safety equipment
- Comply with organizational and legal safety regulations
Employee Management:
- Supervise and manage employee performance
- Provide training, guidance, and support
- Motivate employees and provide constructive feedback
- Develop succession and personal development plans
- Handle disciplinary matters as per internal procedures
Requirements
- Education: National Senior Certificate (Matric)
- Experience: 3–5 years in a production stores environment
- Skills & Competencies:
- Leadership & supervisory abilities
- Strong analytical skills
- Reporting expertise
