Job Overview
The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing a team of sales agents focused on achieving conversion rates and sales targets. The position ensures quality standards and compliance measures are met while driving team success. The manager will also provide strategic leadership and coaching to the sales team, ensuring adherence to sales scripts, maintaining high customer satisfaction, and driving growth through cross-selling opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Client Development & Sales Strategy
✔️ Manage and optimize lead conversion rates and ROI.
✔️ Ensure that leads are provided to the most suitable agents and handled per company standards.
✔️ Maximize leads by promoting cross-selling of Oneplan products.
✔️ Keep sales records up to date and ensure timely customer correspondence.
✔️ Ensure that all sales and service breaches are addressed immediately with appropriate coaching or disciplinary actions.
✔️ Provide strategic input into the sales plan to optimize performance and profitability.
Team Management & Coaching
✔️ Lead team meetings (Buzz sessions) to discuss performance, challenges, and action plans.
✔️ Ensure agents are equipped with necessary tools and leads for success.
✔️ Monitor individual performance via conversion rates, sales numbers, and targets.
✔️ Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions and provide QA feedback.
✔️ Coach agents behind targets with clear action plans.
✔️ Ensure adherence to company policies, including dress code, absenteeism, and attendance reporting.
Operational Effectiveness & Reporting
✔️ Ensure agents meet call time and sales performance metrics.
✔️ Complete daily sales admin, reports, and update future sales activities.
✔️ Provide weekly, biweekly, and monthly reports on sales performance, trends, and action plans.
✔️ Prepare and submit monthly performance reports detailing trends, comparisons, and business insights.
✔️ Ensure quality calibration sessions with the QA department.
Quality, Consistency, & Compliance
✔️ Manage the Sales Deck for resources, processes, and authority levels.
✔️ Proactively identify cost reduction opportunities and streamline processes.
✔️ Ensure that all operations comply with company policies and industry regulations.
Leadership & People Management
✔️ Foster a collaborative, respectful culture across the organization.
✔️ Provide continuous feedback and career development support to the team.
✔️ Lead by example, demonstrating honesty, integrity, and a strong sales approach.
✔️ Drive diversity and transformation initiatives across the business.
Minimum Requirements
✅ Grade 12 (Matric) with English & a second language.
✅ Undergraduate/Postgraduate qualification in a related field (Advantageous).
✅ 4-6 years of experience as a Team Leader in a Sales Call Centre environment.
✅ Demonstrate knowledge of the product and industry.
✅ Meet FAIS Fit & Proper requirements as per legislation.
